Our colleague Jay Hern , passed away at his home on December 24, 2011. Jay began his teaching career at PCC in 1961 and taught courses in theater, television, and communication, in the Performing and Communication Arts Division. He officially retired 49 years later in 2010. Jay was a big supporter of student activities and could be found attending many campus wide events. He will be remembered not only for his intellect, and talent in the areas of theater and communication, but also for his unassuming and kind personality. We will miss him.
A time for remembrance will be held in the Circadian on Thursday, February 2nd from 3:00-5:00pm. There will be an opportunity to share memories, or a story with those present at 4:00pm. There will also be a designated area in the Circadian to post a tribute.
