One of the Mexican schools established in 1915 was Titleyville School, near Titley Ave. The locals of that colonia renamed the site Chihuahuita School, perhaps because they were of Chihuahua. In 1923, the school name changed to Fremont School and served the community into the 1950s. At some point, it became Foothill Continuation School. In the 1980s, PCC transformed the same site to its Community Education Center.
